In just a few steps you'll be on your way to processing your own payroll - simple, fast and all online
Before you begin
You can make your payroll account registration go faster by gathering the following data:
- Your CRA Payroll Number. If you need to register for one you can go HERE to do that
- If you operate a business in Québec, you also need QC payroll number. If you need to register for one you can go HERE to do that.
- Completed TD1 forms from all your employees. Employees must fill out both Federal and their Provincial form for their Province of Employment. As an employer you need to keep these forms on file - and we'll need the numbers from these forms when you enter your employees in the system.
- The Chart of Accounts (general ledger codes) from your accounting software. You'll be able to setup your payroll account to match the account codes you / your bookkeeper uses to track your business finances. If you don't have accounting software - you really should. It will make running your business much easier. Check out these apps that are integrated with our Payroll.

Once your account is created, use this handy checklist to gather all the things you will need to get set up and running with payroll. You can download a PDF version of the full Checklist, or a simplified version at the bottom of the page.
Note: If you are moving from another payroll provider part way through the year you MAY want to have them send interim ROEs for your employees, to avoid manual adjustments to your ROEs later.
