Enhance the security of your account by setting up Multi-Factor Authentication. You'll first need to set up MFA using an authenticator app. These apps are security tools that generate time-based, one-time passcodes on your phone to verify your identity when logging into accounts. It adds an extra layer of protection beyond your password to keep your account secure.
Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication
A. Select Security from clicking your initials in the upper right corner.
B. Choose Enable Multi-Factor Authentication
C. Use your preferred authenticator app to scan the QR code. If you prefer, you can manually enter the key in your app using the on-screen option.
Note: nearly all authenticator apps can be downloaded for free in your Android/Apple app store. Feel free to use your preferred app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. In each app, you'll see a + icon to add an account. From there, follow the prompts to scan the QR code as you see below.
D. Click on Next.
E. Enter the code shown by your authenticator app.
F. Click on Next.
G. Add an additional authentication method as a backup. Multi-factor authentication will now be active. Click on Next.
Login using Multi-Factor Authentication
H. Now login to your account. You will be prompted to enter your code from your authenticator app. If you've entered the incorrect code, you can choose to email or text a code (carrier fees may apply) if you've enabled a secondary method.
