If you are using the ePay service to pay your staff, the ePay / Direct Deposit report will provide you details about your transactions.
To view this report, login to your account:
A. Go to REPORTS
B. PAY RUN
C. E-PAY DIRECT DEPOSIT
You will see a list of your transactions,
Here is what each item tells you:
D. Filter By - Select to filter by All, Remittances, Fees, and coming soon Rejects - Click Search to filter
E. Routing - This is the bank and transit from which the debit will occur if using banking as the funding method
F. Account - This is the account from which the debit will occur if using banking as the funding method
G. Processed on - The date and time when the payment was created in your payroll or B2B account
H. Amount - The total amount that will be debited or is due (if using bill payment/wire)
I. Method - The funding method you selected, it could say Bank, Wire, Or Bill Payment
*Note - Wires and Bill Payments must be SENT to us via online banking to ensure proper processing time, we will NOT debit these amounts
J. Payment Status - The status of the debit and receipt of funds. Status message can be:
New Transaction - Payment has not debited or received (via bill payment or wire)
Transaction Processed - Payment has been debited or received (via bill payment or wire)
Transaction Rejected - Debit has been rejected by your bank
K. Pay Type - Indicates what type of payment was processed. It will either say PAYROLL or B2B for Business Payments
L. Transaction Date - The date we will debit your account for banking method transactions or the date when payment should be received for bill payment or wire method transactions
M. Action - Click on this button to see the full breakdown of the payment at the bottom of the screen,
The details are listed as follows:
N. Debit Record - Use this record number when contacting us to stop or change a payment
*This is a unique identifier that allows us to locate the payment faster
O. This line shows an overview of your Total Payroll, Total Remittance, Total Fees, and the Total Number of Payments going out to employees/vendors
P. Routing - Shows the account number of the recipient
*This field is blank if it is for remittances or fees
Q. Account - Provides the account number of the recipient
*This field is blank if it is for remittances or fees
R. Name - The name of the recipient or your company name if the line is for remittances or fees
S. Created - The date and time the transaction was created by either completing payroll or a business payment
T. Amount - This shows the amount to be paid to the recipient, CRA, MRQ, fees or tax
V. Payment Status - Current status of the payment, subject to change when the status changes. This message can be:
Transaction Processed - Funds have been received and the money has been sent to the respective party
Transaction in Process - Shown for remittance amounts and will be updated to Transaction Processed once your payment has been sent to the government for your due date
Transaction Rejected - Payment has been rejected by the receiving bank, you should receive an email from our support team with options
W. Pay Type - Denotes what kind of payment it is, such as Remittance, Payroll, B2B, Fees or Taxes
X. Description - Clarifies the Pay Type section
Remittances will say CRA or MRQ
Fee will say per employee, fees (transaction fees) or your CRA number in your account for B2B payments
Payroll will have the employee number listed
B2B will have the vendor name
Y. Processed - This is the payment date of the transaction
Please Note: MRQ process date does not update, use Payment Status to confirm if the payment has been sent
Processed indicates the expected date the payee is to receive funds. While every effort is made to ensure funds are received on this date, we cannot guarantee receipt on a particular day or a particular time. Occasionally, funds will be held by the receiving institution - some reasons include frozen accounts, incorrect account details, account closed, etc. We will notify you of these issues using the email address in your company profile and will work with you to correct them.
